Antiquus is a partner of Olivami, a non-profit association created to revive the olive trees of Salento, which have been severely affected by Xylella.
In recent years, the bacterium has destroyed over 21 million trees, wiping out centuries of history, tradition, and the work of thousands of farmers.
With Olivami, we want to contribute to a concrete reforestation and rebirth project that not only protects the landscape and the environment but also restores the future of one of the lands that symbolizes Italian olive growing.
How Olivami works
Adopting an olive tree with Olivami is a simple gesture, but one of great value:
- Adopt or gift
With just one click, you can choose one or more trees and even give them a name. For every tree adopted, Olivami will plant a new one. - Receive your certificate and EVO oil
After adoption, you will receive a unique certificate, and every year you will be sent extra virgin olive oil produced from the new plants, 100% Salento and of certified quality. - Contribute to the environment
Every olive tree adopted helps remove CO₂ from the atmosphere: an olive tree can absorb up to 730 kg of CO₂ per year.

Why adopt an olive tree in Salento?
The olive tree has always been a symbol of peace and rebirth. Today, it also represents an opportunity to support a region that has seen 80% of its oil production wiped out.
Adopting an olive tree:
- contribute to sustainable reforestation;
- support farmers in Salento affected by Xylella;
- help preserve biodiversity and reduce environmental impact.
Resistant varieties: Leccino and Favolosa
To reforest Salento, Olivami has chosen two cultivars capable of resisting Xylella: Leccino and Favolosa.
They differ in the flavor of the oil and the appearance of the foliage, but both ensure quality and continuity of production.

A community that believes in rebirth
Olivami is a non-profit association based in Martano (LE), in the heart of Grecìa Salentina. It is made up of a group of young people who have decided to invest their time and energy in the future of their land.
The project is based on three fundamental values:
- Collaboration between farmers and supporters;
- Technological innovation at the service of production and the environment;
- Participation, to turn a small gesture into a big change.
Antiquus and Olivami, together
By choosing to collaborate with Olivami, Antiquus reinforces its commitment to sustainability and the promotion of the local area. We believe that Italian culture and traditions must be preserved, and that the revival of olive trees is a duty towards future generations.
